The HP Color LaserJet 3700 is the based model out of three printers in the 3700-series. It�??s actually a high-end model that features image enhancement technology through HP ImageREt 2400, and PostScript 3 for language simulation. The standard RAM installed in this unit is only 64MB but you can upgrade it up to 448MB at max. No networking or duplex functionality available for this one, however, if you need such features, check out the other two models which are the 3700N and 3700DN.
Should you need a printer that supports a variety of media; the HP Color LaserJet 3700 can handle cards, labels, envelopes, transparencies, glossy photo paper or even recycled papers. Interfaces only include parallel and USB ports as standards. It comes with a rated print speed at up to 16 pages per minute for both mono and color, plus a resolution that can reach 600x600 dpi (dots per inch). Consumables require one each of black, magenta, yellow and cyan HP 311A toner cartridges, while the HP 308A toner will also do, and the HP 100 fuser kit that comes with 60,000 page-yields. Text and black document printing quality is just average, while printing colored documents isn�??t much impressive.
